Hi All,

I too am in sunny Switzerland, in Basel. I have been there for about a year, well back and forth from my home in the UK.

So if anyone is in Basel and wants to meet up for a drink, let me know, scott@cashonboard.net

Cheers,

Scott

Hello all! There seems to be a fair amount of Canadians in Switzerland! I'm a Massage Therapist from Ontario looking to work in Switzerland. Do any of you have any suggestions about going about this? I'm attempting to work in or around Geneva as I have a strong basic french knowledge - Are there any places you all might suggest? Or ways about which you all found employment?

Hey all, not sure how often everyone checks these postings. but I'm also in Switzerland, in Basel. Have been here for about 7 months now and am working for a peace and conflict research institute in Bern. I found that the best way to find a job as a 'foreigner' was to do research on your specific field in the country, dig out organizations and then email them for an informational interview. If you don't get a job, you will get a contact and they're likely to give you a tip for another contact.

The work permit process is hell! Anyone have any stories on this topic? Anyone else living in Basel? Cheers.

Hi, just reading this.

I have been living here for some 9 years now.

Love the country. It's great.

I live in Basel.

Let me know if anyone wants to catch up for a dinner or just a chit-chat coffee.
