I think the 4 weeks is not correct. Not strictly.
I brought two cats from canada, to sydney.
they have to pass a rabies vaccine test and they can't come out of quarnteen for 6 months. (don't pannic). My cats passed their test in January, they stayed with me for 5 months (in canada) then we came over. They had to stay in Q for 4 weeks, but the people there were awesome and I suspect the same would be for perth.
If we had come over right after they passed, then they would have had to stay the full 6 months in Q.. Not good.
It is expensive, about 2500 total for two cats. But it was worth it. Family is family.
