Tax help - Moving back to Canada, but paid in the US

Post Sat Oct 08, 2011 5:51 pm

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good accountant who is versed in the tax laws of the US/Canada? Preferably in the San Jose, CA area.

I am a Canadian Citizen with a green card who will be moving back to Canada soon.

My company (based in the US, with no presence in Canada) will allow me to work from Canada. But I would like to continue to earn in US dollars. I want to understand if there will be any negative tax implications that I should be aware of.

Thanks!

You cannot continue asa US employee if you live and work in canada. You can eitehr become a Cdn employee or a contractor.

The currency they pay you is meaningless.

forums.serbinski.com is a better place for these Q's.
