hi

i live in the netherlands, a country that has a tax treaty with canada. does anyone know what happens when you repatriate from the netherlands back to canada with regards to taxes paid while in the netherlands? is there an automatic procedure whereby canadian tax authorities communicate with dutch tax authorities to scrutinize the taxes i have paid and world income i have declared while in the netherlands?

thanks.

Nothing automatic. You'll have to apply for some sort of statement from the tax department.
