Taxes when moving to UK from Canada

Post Thu Mar 03, 2011 12:13 pm

Although a British citizen I have lived in Canada for 32 years. I will become totally non resident in Canada, leaving no posessions, family behind when I relocate to the UK later this year.

My question concerns where I will pay taxes.

Income from Canada will be CPP, private pension plan, RIF and eventual OAS. When I direct these payments to go into a UK back account will tax be deducted at source in Canada? If this is the case I assume I would continue to complete a Canada tax return (which does not make sense)
