Need similar help! I'm in NC and I can't seem to get a SSN for my wife, which means she can't get a driver's licence! Will they accept an ITIN for this? Please help - time is running out.

When my Daughter was down on a TD visa, she had no problem opening a bank account at Bank of America without a SSN.

Yes, she should be able to get an NC driver's license with an ITIN, however, one cannot obtain an ITIN until you file taxes. They only issue them at tax time (from what I was told).

There are a few limited ways you can get an ITIN before tax time. One way is to open an interest-bearing bank account (as a resident alien).
