Sorry, should have said with whatever temporary certificate we get from the justice of the peace or whomever marries us.

You don't legally need a certificate, it just makes it straightforward. Obviously different countries have different standards for marriage so CBP cannot require you to have a certificate per se. You can use photos and other evidence such as that, it's just simpler to have a certificate.

Hey everyone, just a quick update. Made it across with no problems at all, a uhual full of stuff and a temp marriage certificate. She went down a week prior to do some training at the hospital in L.A. and went to the mexico border and got her TN. So when we crossed it only took about a half hour to get my TD and we were on our way. Thanks everyone for all your help.
I'm sure I'll have more questions on possibly changin my status so I can work later. Until then tanks again.
