Hi!
I am a Canadian presently living in Dubai on my husbands visa. We are planning to move to Abu Dhabi. I would love to teach children at a primary level there. Presently I am completing my B.Com through a Canadian Univ. I have an abundance of energy and would this career. If anyone has any leads pls do let me know. Thanks.

Hi Shari,

Check my response to the topic below called "Teaching in the UAE, Abu Dhabi". There, I listed a bunch of schools in AD where you can start your search for jobs.

Hello
Sorry I can't help with job advice - I've just started looking for a position as a highschool teacher in Dubai.
I plan on taking a leave of absence for two years in order to teach there. I was wondering if you could help me with some tax advice. Is there any way to avoid paying taxes to Revenue Canada when we return to Canada?
If I simply declare no income, is there any way Revenue Canada can check on this? I really don't feel obliged to pay them taxes while I'm living in another country. We're not prepared to sell our house in Canada, so I don't think we could claim to be 'non-residents'.
Any advice would be very appreciated.
