I want to put this out there. my girlfriend moved to the N.J., USA. she is Canadian. I want to go to join her, but want to work there. I am quite free to move now, but don't want to go and have to live off her.
I have a BC teaching certificate. does anyone know what it is like to get teaching jobs in New Jersey, and/or any job.
I want to know if not teaching, can I work there? I have done a lot of landscaping here and some tree work. I have a PE major, Bio. minor, but got a little burnt out teaching last year from some issues I had with a district so went and worked outdoors a little.
So now with her there, and the economy the way it is, I am wondering about coming there and if it is something easy or hard to do? She is on I believe what is called a TN visa in the medical field.

thanks for any advice since I am not getting any response from applications I have sent. about 20 so far on a website. maybe someone knows of a better website. I have used njteach
