Hi everyone,
I'm an IT professional, and I was contacted by Squires about an opportunity earlier today in Bermuda. It pays $100-$150k per year. This is a very nice salary at the top end. However, I have a wife and 2 kids (my wife does not work), so I was worried about the cost of living.
I had a few questions if anyone can answer them that would be great
1. Has anyone worked with Squires Resources, and did you find it to be a good experience? Were they honest and accurate with the information they gave you?
2. The documents Squires sent me indicate that $3500-$5000 is a reasonable expectation of monthly rent for a 3 bedroom place. Would this be relatively accurate?
3. Presuming a salary of $120,000, this is just around 10k per month. If rent is $5k per month, would the remainder be enough to live comfortably on with a young family? Kids are 11 months and 2.5 years old.
We'd love to work and travel, as we think the experience would be amazing for our kids and ourselves, but I also don't want to sacrifice our standard of living. We'd want to be comfortable enough to do lots of interesting things, as well as fly home fairly regularly for visits (we live near Calgary).
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
