Tele-commuter wanting to move to europe...

Tele-commuter wanting to move to europe...

Postby Jeremy » Wed Nov 18, 2009 11:11 am

Hello all,

I work from home for an American company doing research. I fly there once or twice a year to show my face but all of my work is done from home...

I backpacked europe for 2 months before I started and fell in love with the lifestyle in Italy and Spain... so much so that I want to move there.

I'm looking for a starting point.. a document or a website where someone has done the same.. what documents will I need to acquire to accomplish this? I was once thrown in the drunk tank a few years ago, otherwise my record is clean... :doubt:

Thoughts? Suggestions?

The EU cracked down on IT workers immigrating recently, plus you don't have a sponsor so it will be tricky. Some sort of ancestry visa perhaps? Are your ancestors originally European?
Steve.
