Thanksgiving

Postby Suzanna » Mon Oct 16, 2006 11:25 am

Thanksgiving? Fortunately every day I give thanks because as soon as we left Canada I seem to have forgotten Canadian Thanksgiving - every year! Of course in Playa del Carmen, Mexico you don't find a turkey until American Thanksgiving anyway. We usually end up celebrating US Thanksgiving, which I figure is extremely funny for Canadians living in Mexico! The oddest part is many Americans are not aware Canadians even have a Thanksgiving and then they ask why we do.

I however will look forward to celebrating Day of the Dead here on November 2nd. They even make bread with more bread overlaid to look like bones. I love new delicious customs!

Well I didn't really have a turkey. But I went and partied with some friends all night long. Was a good thanksgiving if you ask me. Had a better meal the next morning. A good canadian breakfast. :)
