The law in Northern Ireland

Be aware if you travel to or live in Northern Ireland that the law is substantially different in many respects than in Great Britain. Although Wales and Scotland have their own legislatures, the powers they have are limited and they only recently came about. In Northern Ireland until recently most legislation was made under the Northern Ireland Act 1973 and because of that the law has had more time to diverge.

Thanks for that...I"m sure a lot of people wouldn't have expected the laws to be quite so different!
