Hi everyone,

I applied online about a week ago, got all my paperwork together and brought it to the Worldbridge office in Toronto this past Friday.
Everyone make sure your photo fits inside the application's little box 45mm x 35mm. They won't cut it for you and I had to go get new photos and be back within a half hour.

I received an email today from Ottawa at 10:12 am saying that they had received my application and we're processing, I would hear from them in about 5 days time.

At 2:07 pm I was approved and my visa will be here in 3 days.

If I can help answer any questions out there about the process and what I specifically did then please let me know.

Cheers all and Good Luck!

Hey Madcatx2

Congrats, that's totally awesome, I only hope that mine will be processed as fast. The stress of waiting is seriously no fun.

Thanks for the info, I'm going in for my appointment tomorrow and hadn't thought of that.

Cheers.

Madcatx2, quick question for you.

My boyfriend linked me to a site where I would have to book my biometric testing, and I was wondering if you could tell me how that works? Do I still get to choose my own date and time, or do they spit out a random date and time back at me? I don't live in the same city as the place I have to go (I have to drive 3 hours to get there) so I was hoping you could help me out.

Thanks!

Just did mine Tigerlea You get to pick your own date and time, I think you have about a two week window on their website from which to choose. What I mean is that you can pick up to two weeks from the date you enter your information to book the appointment. So that should give you enough freedom to figure out when and where you want to go. Smile

Cheers.

Tigerlea, riverfox is right you can also cancel that appointment and rebook I did that as I was in between pay periods and wanted to have the most money I could in my bank account.

The service was incredibly fast, I picked my visa up at the post office this morning. It is not valid until February 15th which gives me a few weeks to put things in order here.

Good luck everyone.

Dunno about the TB screening nothing about that has been mentioned to me. The cose of the appointment is $15 cdn. and its tacked on to the payment you make to the embassy when you submit your visa app online.

What do you go about booking it and everything?

We origionally applied for the visa application.about 8 months ago but due to people deliberatly making things extremely difficult to get, then we've only just become ready to apply now (hence having no idea about all this new stuff! Sad )
