Things you wish you had taken/left behind?

Post Thu Aug 14, 2008 1:58 pm

Hey guys, here's my situation:
As soon as I finish school, I'm heading from Saskatchewan out to Ireland to live for a year. I was wondering if I could get some advice from those of you who have made an overseas move, concerning two things:
A) Was there anything that you didn't think to pack that you had to send for later/wish you had packed? Anything that would have made the move easier?
and
B) Did you find anything that you had packed to be unnecessary?

Any advice would be awesome.

Thanks,

Lauren

No point taking most electrical appliances, either put them in storage or sell them. You can get step-down transformers but once you've paid for them you'll wonder why you bothered, plus they use more electricity. Only really worth it if you've got a really good stereo or something like that.
