Tier 1 with wife as dependant

Hi,

I am about to apply for the Tier 1 visa (General) on the beginning of Feb. 2009 through Worldbridge in Ottawa, Canada (outside UK).

I wish to apply for my visa online as soon as possible in order to schedule my appointment with Wordbridge to get my biometrics enrolments. On the online form, there is a question about my martial status. I am currently “single” (since there is not option for engaged), but by the time I will get my appointment with Worldbridge (early Feb. 2009) I will be married and I will have an official wedding certificate. Since, I wish to take my wife as dependant on my visa, please, can you advise on the fastest way for me and my wife to get our visa ?

If I apply right now as a “single” and wait to get my visa, afterward can I apply for my wife as dependant without problem since my martial status will show “single”. An independent visa advisor told me that I would have to pay again for my own application plus my wife application since I will have to change my martial status. Is this true?
