Hey Mulba, you must have gone through Duncan then, that's where I used to live. Since being married to my British husband, I've been here 4 years now. Miss home!!! The things I miss, are the twizzlers!!! Not totally canadian I know, but it's not the same here. And Ketchup CHIPS, Olde Dutch Razz not enough flavour on the crisps here lol then there's popcorn twists. The 24-hour stores here aren't like walking into a 7-11 either. *sigh* yeah I miss home! problem is,... when I actually GO home, I'll miss another home here... lol

Timmys in the UK. Oh my word. that is the BEST! i never thought i'd see that glorious place on this side of the pond. (*rubs hands gleefully together*)

now all we need is the coffee...it would be a hit over on this side. just good old, NON-double-shot-uberskinny-shaken-not-stirred, simple coffee. (though i like mine double double)

Oh my god, asking for a double double. Those were the days. My dad also tought me to ask for a double, double, double cupped if I was getting take away so as to not burn my hands. My hubby who is British has also taken on board my dad's teaching and tried it at the Cafe Nero in Melton Mowbray and they looked at him like he was speaking Japanese.

So, everyone keeps saying that there is Tim Hortons in England, but where!?! I live in Derby (Midlands). I have heard tempting rumors about one on the M25 somewhere, but that's like finding a needle in a Haystack. And is it true that there is more than one? Please help me find them.even if they just have timbits.

Mmm, Timmy's.I remember teaching my (British) husband the meaning of double-double.
Apparently there's one in Dublin, at the zoo - detected by my in-laws who also learned the glories of a simple coffee and donut while at our wedding in Ontario.
Where is the Gillingham Tim's? Is that the same as the one at the Road Chef on the M25, or a different one? I know what I'll be doing this weekend!

Just for anyone else foolish enough to go.

I went to the M25 Clacket Lane Services (Eastbound) and there is NO TIM HORTONS.
I saw a small store front that may have once been a Timmys but it had been taken over by the evil that is Costa Coffee.

I am so depressed Crying or Very sad

Belle_lune,

The Canada/Australia/NewZealand/South Africa! shop is at 27 Maiden Lane in London (WC2). The shop is located in the same street as the Maple Leaf Pub (Yeah for all Canadians) close to Covent Garden.
There is not a huge choice however it you are looking for the Oreo cookies, etc.this is the place (Of course, this is all imported goodies so its not cheap, especially when you consider the exchange rate and how much cheaper it would be to actually get this stuff in the Canada)

Regards
