Hi everyone,
I just called Tim Horton's and got the most up to date list of places you can buy Tim's in the UK for you.

I wrote a blog post with them all right here: http://canadiansintheuk.wordpress.com/2 ... in-the-uk/

There's a tonne of them, so you'll have to scroll through the list to find your nearest location, but this should help anyway.

Cheers,
Victoria

Sorry guys - dont get excited, it's not the real thing.
There are loads of THs in Ireland, in SPAR supermarkets. They are run by some French company.* But it's rubbish coffee, mediocre but very expensive donuts (and very few of your favourite flaours), and worst of all no Timbits.
And now this sham has come to England. :(

* There's an article about this but as a new member I'm not allowed to post the link: search for "Tim Hortons in Ireland"

I had a TH doughnut from Spar in Birmingham a few weeks ago, and it was horrible. In fact I had the feeling it had sat on the shelf for days. So yep, nothing to get excited about!

I had the same in Dingle -- while yes, it tasted like rubbish compared to real tim's coffee, my friend had a hot chocolate and, since it came out of the tim's packet, I can guarantee you it was the same. Though I didn't like it much in canada either .. it's just a nice touch of home when you're away. :)

There are two TH's in Cardiff, Wales that sell donuts, coffee, tea and TH's hot chocolate. They are both in Spar shops and on the patch where I work. One of these shops is 24h so can get the TH fix I need any time. The sooner TH start opening actual shops in the UK the better, give Starbucks and Costas a real run for their money.

When I was in Canada in June and July of this year, I took my daughter to a Tim Hortons after visiting the CN Tower. We had a sandwich and a drink and a donut. I had a coffee as well. I am not exaggerating when I say that it was like I was in Heaven. I felt more at home than I can put into words. There was a group of old people conversing in Italian nearby. There were many groups of two occupying the various tables, conversing and laughing. Many people came in a steady stream to place their orders for take away. There was a community represented in that little Tim Hortons. There was no loud screaming or misbehaviour because everyone respected the rights of others to enjoy Tim Hortons themselves. It was......truly a Canadian moment. Lets be honest: Unless you are Canadian, you don't really get the Tim Hortons mystique. The feeling is a gift reserved for us Canadians who share it and love to shed a tear when we are welcomed back by Timmies.
