TN Applicant - Managerial Consultant (Inventory Analyst)

Post Thu Dec 20, 2007 4:06 pm

I am trying to obtain a TN Visa as a Managerial Consultant in the Detroit Area

Specifically, as an Inventory Analyst/Specialist.

I have a Bachelor's of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and 3 years of directly related experience working for an Inventory Management company.

I have a company ready to write an offer letter however I would like some clarification on the requirements necessary to qualify as a Management Consultant.

Everything I have read states that the applicant must have:

* baccalaureate or
* five years' experience in consulting or related field.

Must this baccalaureate be highly specific to the position (i.e. Inventory Management), or to "Management Consulting"? Or can it simply be a degree in a field related (i.e B.Comm, Business Administration)?

Although my degree studies were concentrated in operations and materials management, it is not a direct course of study in either management consulting or Inventory (the field for which i am being hired).

If I have a degree, does that eliminate the need for experience in the field?

If not, does the 3 years of experience and the degree combined give me enough supporting evidence to qualify for the position?

Last question. The company hiring me is not a large corporation, it is not worth 100's of millions. is the size of the company looking to hire me relevant to the application?

I thank you graciously for your time. any advice or answers to these questions you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

The size of the company does not matter.

Related field is fine.

Doesn't matter.

Yes.

N/A

No.
