TN Denial and Nexus pass

Hi,

My nexus application was denied because I was denied my TN visa because they didn't believe the title my employer wrote down on the TN application papers.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can dispute this or know of any good lawyer resources to help me get my Nexus pass or even get rid of this black eye on my record.

I don't believe I didn't anything wrong, but just had a really bad CBP officer who just denied me.

Well, you were denied nexus pass becuase of TN.

Either fix the TN, or request nexus pass as a simple tourist.

How do you fix the TN? I don't really need the TN anymore as I have an H1B now.

Then you should apply for nexus using your H1 status.

Is that it? My current denial letter it says my TN denial is an immigration violation. If I apply again under H would they deny me again because of my TN denial?

Ah, so your nexus application was done after your TN rejection? Ouch. That sounds like you are permanently banned from Nexus program, unless you appeal. There is a thread on here about Nexus appeal....

I see, thanks. The timeline was the following. I applied for Nexus a month before I was going to cross the border with a TN. I crossed with TN, got denied, crossed with H1B a month later, then I got my Nexus denied letter.

Bad timing on your part. see if you can appeal. It will obviously take 3-6 months. Meanwhile, you are stuck in the line at Pearson.

My guess is you aren't travelling as much now that you have H1-B

I just came home to YYZ after landing from the US. I am a nexus holder. My current TN visa expires on the 31st of Dec.

Unfortunately, my airline delayed my bag getting to pearson. I signed form A23 to release the bag to CBSA with alcohol ticked off. BUT, I have two 750 ml bottles of liquor in it for which I know for sure I will lose my nexus card some time tomorrow because I didn't declare (on TDC) that I have 360ml of extra booze (exemption is 1.14L). I say to hell with it. It was more trouble than its worth. I wish they get rid of my iris and fingerprint scans too, from their database.

My question is, have I risked any chance of getting a new TN in the near future?
