TN holder - Laid off

Postby boscanuck on Thu Oct 16, 2008 5:54 pm

Technically I have been laid off but will receive bi-weekly checks until the end of the year, sort of severance pay, am I illegal? I could go to the border and change status to a B2 but they could deny it because I've been in the country most of the year. I hope to find a new job right away, then change my TN to the new job, this seems reasonable. Anybody have thoughts, experience?
