Thanks for glimmer of hope. Would you know what relevant forms are necessary? Is it as easy as switching my TN to a visitors visa at the US border? I'm an honest person and do not want to be here if it's illegal. Thanks[/quote]

No idea really about the exact forms. As for the apartment, you can try and pay an admin fee of $200 and get out of it if it works that is.

Thanks dannykool. I checked with my landlord if the B2 visa doesn't pan out.
