TN renewal - flying back from Europe

I recently flew in via London,UK to LAX and requested the officer for a TN status. It went quite smooth. Only hitch was the officer was not sure if it should be a 1 yr or 3 yr TN. He asked another officer who suggested to send me into the 'room' backdoors called Admissibailty Review room. Except for the 1 hour long wait, it was quite smooth and far better experience than the one in Toronto back in 2004. Finally got a 3 yr stamp over the previously stamped 1yr.
My advantage was that I had worked for this same company on TN back in 2004 on the same job position. So less doubts for Immigration officer.
