Ok, so I paid the Fort Erie border a visit today. I have an offer from a U.S. organization for a Computer Systems Analyst position. All my documents were in order ( degree, transcripts, TN letter, etc. )

However, customs officer was unsure of my qualifications. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Information Systems. They want me to return to the border monday to friday between 8 to 4pm when the TN specialist is in office.

Now I sort of have a change of plans and I will be entering at a different border site.

My question: since I was neither accepted or denied, when they ask me if I ever attempted a TN application, what do I say ?

Go back to Fort Erie, you will see Sam Tiranno, he's the Free Trade Officer. He has a sophisticated knowledge of NAFTA immigration law. Bring a copy of the Occupational Outlook Handbook section on Computer Systems Analysts, which provides that employers prefer information systems degrees.

Best of luck to you,

Hi there QTNM, I will be applying for the same thing in a few weeks time. I am eager to know how you fared. Also, are you applying for your TN in advance of your start date? Thanks in advance.
