TN status offered honouraria outside of current employment

I am a Canadian social worker working in San Francisco under TN status. I have been asked by a group to lead some groups outisde of my regular job and they insist on giving me an honourarium. Over a year this won't be more than a few thousand dollars... but I'm worried about my TN status... how can I do this legally?

You should not do this, as this would violate the terms of your TN. Let them give the honararium thru your organization to you.
