TN Status, Same employer but new job

Post Thu Dec 06, 2007 1:31 pm

I just completed an 8-month internship in the U.S. and have returned home for a month. My employer would like to hire me in a full-time position for a 1-year contract.

Do I go through the same process at the border, just request TN status again? Do I need any additional/different documentation?
Will I face any extra scrutiny?
How can I demonstrate that I do not intend to immigrate to the states?
Do I need to be out of the U.S. for a certain length of time before returning?

The process makes me very nervous (I had problems the first time in that the letter from my employer wasn't detailed enough). Any information or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This happens to many people.
Its important to understand the TN Visa process, how you qualify, the requirements, having proper documentation and being prepared for the interview process at the border.

When you understand this and feel confident about your application, very little can go wrong and you will not be stressed or worried.

Doesn't sound like you or your company are planning to hire a lawyer, so.
