TN visa before diploma is available?

I get a job as a Statistician, I have just completed all requirements of MS degree in Statistician and summer is my last semester, but I won't be able to get the diploma in the next two months. I don't have a bachelor degree in Math/Stats.

I can provide transcript, and I can get a letter from the chair of the department confirming I've met all requirements for MS. I wonder if these documents can be served as the equivalent of a diploma?

Any comment or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Transcripts are usually what is sufficient as evidence. This should be fine. But get a second opinion.

Your transcript should indicate "Dimploma awarded" This will suffice.

Transcripts are only accepted if it says "conferred upon". If it does not, they are not acceptable. Myth is that transcripts are the way to go...wrong. The degree is what is needed, BUT, the Officer can use discreation on "conferred" transcripts.

The letter from the Chair would get you laughed at.

I also have a two year Economics MS degree that have many courses related to Data analysis, I wonder if that can help. The degree will be post on the transcripts on Sep.12 but the company can't wait.
