TN Visa - Changing jobs within the company

Hello -
I am on a TN visa as a 'scientific technician', have been for a little over a year.
I am about to transition to a new role within the same company in our sales group. Obviously I will no longer be employed as a 'scientific technician', but since I am employed with the same company, do I need to re-apply for the TN?
New job description, new manager, new salary... ultimately the same employer...

This sounds like a very dangerous move potentially jeopardizing your immigration status as a Scientific Technician.

Sales positions are not NAFTA eligible occupations. You do not mention your new duties or title but if it is no longer a Scientific Technician role, you won't receive a new TN for the proposed occupation unless it is an eligible NAFTA profession.
