TN VISA Driving Requirements...Please Help

I am on a TN Visa and have my Quebec car in the US I have been here for 2 years and will be here for 3 more years at least.

My Quebec License is up for renewal. what should I transfer to the US. If possible I would like to keep registration in Quebec and Insurance but now get a NY state license. Is this possible ?

If you are living in US on TN, and you no longer live in QC, you have been essentially driving without insuarnce since you left.

You need to be licensed and car plated where you live (which also means importing your car). Get NY DL, NY plates, and US insurance. Nothinbg else is legal or will protecte you.
