TN Visa for 'Graphic Designer' education question.

Hello everyone,

I have been offered a job in the US (Roswell, Georgia) to work for a game developer. This is a dream job for me and the company is one that I have done work for (paid, contract) in the past. They are a small start-up company and have very little knowledge in the legalities of getting someone from Canada, but are very willing to help me out in the process.

The TN visa requirements for a 'Graphic Designer' are;

1. A Bachelor’s (Baccalaureate) degree;

2. Licenciatura Degree;

3. Post-Secondary Diploma and three years experience; or a

4. Post-Secondary Certificate and three years experience.

The Post-Secondary Diploma I have was from a 12-month intensive Game Design & 3D Animation course. I have heard that the requirement is only for a two year diploma, not one. Is this true? If so, is there any way to substitute this deficiency with some experience? I have roughly 7 years of experience doing freelance graphic design work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As even most gamers can figure out, 1 does not equal 2.
