TN-Visa, fourth year Canadian student

Post Wed Jan 12, 2011 8:10 pm

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding on TN visa.

I am a fourth year university student studying at U of T, and I have already finished all my course, and degree requirement.

There is a company willing to take me in as scientific tech- Environmental Geography tech, but as a part time.

I was hoping to apply for TN, since I have fulfilled my degree requirement, and it is much cheaper to apply TN than J-1.

Does my employer need to state the pay? cuz, they currently pay me as intern therefore is very low. $9.15?.....

And what exactly should I provide as a Sci-tec position?

I am confused, and thanks for helping out!

Sci-tech is for persons without a degree, so you are probably better of simply getting a geographer TN.

The fact that your job is entry level does not matter, you ar estill a geographer.

If you do go for Sci-tech, on top of the usual TN requirements (don't ask -- go to a TN savvy website), you will need to show the credentials of the person you will be working for.
