TN Visa "Harder to Get" Per Border Patrol????

Post Sun May 02, 2010 4:37 pm

Today we crossed over from Canada into the US via the 1000 Island Bridge Crossing in NY. The border patrolman was actually quite friendly compared to many we have had. He citizenship and when we replied "Canadian" he asked if we were applying for permanent residency, to which we answered "no." He then told us to have a great day and granted entry, but he did mention that TN Visa's were getting harder and harder to get and just to think about that and he told us he was just letting us know.

SOOOOOOOO - have the TN rules changed? We are going to need to do one more TN status for 2 years in the next few months and I am curious as to what he was referring to? Are things being scrutinized more? We just did a TN application and had it approved without a problem 6 weeks ago with no more scrutiny than usual, so I am very curious if others have heard this and if anyone knows what this might be referring to..........

Many thanks!

No, they have NOT changed. But CBP officers, who have family memwebrs out of work just like everyone else, are gettinga little more annoyed that funers are coming to work in US.

Just reming them that you are not there to take cousin Billy Bob's Space burger night manager job.
