A citizen of Canada seeking temporary entry as a TN professional under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) must submit in person an application for admission at a United States Class A port-of-entry (“POE”), at a United States airport handling international traffic, or at a United States pre-clearance/pre-flight station (“PFI”).
One of the benefits for Canadian citizens seeking TN status under NAFTA is same-day adjudication. This means that a decision on the application will be made on the same day while you are at the border.
