Hoping someone can shed some light on my dilemma.
I recently (within last 4 months) returned from the US where I spent 3 months working for a company under a J1 Student visa. I have since graduated and been offered a job with this company. They don't sponsor, but are willing to take the TN visa route in extending formal offers and any other necessary documentation.
My question is this. A lot of what I had done and would continue to do would qualify as 'graphic design'. They would be prepared to position the job as such. However i know that in order to qualify for that 'designation' you must have either a degree in the area (which I do not) or a post secondary education and 3 years experience in the field. I just graduated with a BBA, but have been doing freelance design work since I got to university. Including the last 3 summers spent in Advertising agency as a creative. Do you think my 'concurrent' 3 years experience as a designer would qualify?
Thanks so much.
This board is absolutely amazing.
Best of luck to everyone else in search of answers.
