TN visa interview at border?

Post Tue Dec 06, 2011 6:32 pm

Hi everyone,
a little about myself. I am Canadian citizen, just finished my master's studies in the US, got a job offer from a company here in the US that's willing to sponsor me the TN visa. I was told that I'm gonna need to go to the Canadian border. I suppose that's for the interview right? So is this interview site one of the road crossings at the actual Canada-US border?
Or is it like an airport port of entry? Also will I have to cross the border travelling back to Canada and then come back to border to do this? Thank you very much!

Its not really an "interview"; you merely present your TN letter and proof of educuation and/or experience and they issue the TN.

It is done at the point of entry into US, either at a border crossing or at a Cdn airport. Yes you will have to leave US and re-enter.
