Hello All,

I have a TN visa, and was wondering if I move all my household goods (furniture, etc.) to the US will I be charged duties and taxes by US Customs? Is there a link where I can read more about this topic?

When I return to Canada will I be charged taxes and duties by Canada Customs?

Any help will be appreciated.

Best,
Guido

Any personal belongings and household goods are duty free as long as you have a valid visa to move them there.

You will be charged duty on re-entering Canada unless you have been outside of Canada for at least six months.
