Hello,

I have been offered a research technician position at Cornell University starting this June 16. I am prepared to go apply for a TN visa at the beginning of June. My question is where the best location would be for a port of entry, and whether my papers are in order and sufficient.

I will bring the following:

1) Letters from University of Toronto registrar office stating that I will be receiving my B.Sc on June 11th.
2) Transcripts from UofToronto
3) Employment letter from Cornell University
4) Canadian Passport
5) Cover Letter and Resume

I am wondering if there is anything else that I needed for the application, and the best port of entry.

Thank you in advance.

I have gone through Montreal airport several times and never had problem. The Champlain crossing is suppose to be okay. I have heard lots of problems at the Niagara Falls crossing.
Go during the week during regular business hours. If there is a problem you can call the HR dept at CU.
Have photocopies of everything. When filling out the I 29 you put Canada as your country of residence even though you will be in the states.
PM me if you have any questions
