TN Visa related Question

I just received a job offer from a US company and plan to apply for a TN visa. But I am wondering what kind of visa should I request for my wife who is not Canadian yet?

she would get derivative TD visa.

I really appreciate your help and my understanding is the TN derivative visa is also issued at entry point, just like the TN visa.

Actually, if your spouse is not a Canadian, I think she may need an actual TD *visa* stamp from a consulate, versus just applying at the border for TD status. You may want to double check about that.
