TN Visa w/ 1yr Graduate Diploma in CS

Post Sat Feb 20, 2010 2:35 pm

I'm wondering if anyone can clarify for me whether I'll qualify for a TN visa as a Computer Systems Analyst. I have a number of degrees, and I know that I'll qualify for some job types, but the work I'm looking at is in software development and that's where I'm not entirely sure.

I've got two undergraduate degrees: economics and urban planning. Also a Masters in urban planning. And finally a ONE year graduate diploma in computer science. Academically that's the equivalent of the core undergraduate computer science degree.

I have about six years of experience in the software field, so I should be okay on the experience requirement. My concern is that the diploma may not be long enough.

Any thoughts would be helpful.

You need to tie one of your degrees to your job, as your 1-yr diploma is not eligible for TN regardless of your experience.
