Postby PeterCal » Fri Nov 09, 2007 10:07 pm

Hello everyone.
I came here in Las Vegas and I , on the way decide to move here. I have founded a company which wants to hire me.
Where can I apply for a TN1 visa given that I am inside the u.s. now.

You have to apply at the border. You can't change status to a TN-1 in the US. In any event, even if you could, Nevada DMV requires a copy of your I-94 to get a driver's licence.

So that means I have to go to the border with the necessary documents or to go back to Canada and apply during my reentrance.

Yes, go to the border/canada.

For a land border: leave the U.S., enter Canada, turnaround, upon entry to the U.S., apply for the TN with your paperwork.
