Okay everyone, it's been raining quite a bit lately and I'm wondering how others pass the time. I've already knit three pom-pom less touques and made a half-assed start on the laundry. All this on my week off from work. Hold me back!

Does the sun EVER shine here? I am starting to wonder. I am just reading someone's travel journal and it said they were looking for a heavier coat in July. JULY!! That can't be true!

I am reading about 4 books a week and playing on the computer.

Oh ya and planning trips to Scotland and Italy for the fall (or autumn as they say).

Nothing says fun like laundry Brenda!

After 11 years you just get used to it and conduct any outside business as normal. Enjoy Italy.

How are your plans going for your trip to Scotland? What are you planning on seeing? If you come to Stirling, you have to see the Monument and the castle.

It will just be a short weekend trip and I am going to Edinburgh.

Those Scottish accents make me weak in the knees! ;)

Enjoy Edinburgh. The first time that I went there by myself I had taken the train from Glasgow & when I came to the top of the street, all I could hear was bagpipes! Coming from the Maritimes & with a Scottish parent, bagpipes were an integeral part of my childhood & it really stired up some powerful memories. I ended up calling my Mom at her work in Sears bawling because I was so overcome with emotion!

Probably sounds corney to all of you, but it was quite powerful!

If I might suggest, as a token of your gratitude, go to the war memorial in Edinburgh Castle. An amazing place where you can look through the books of names of Scottish men who have died in the wars - another place that I was greatly over come with emotion!
