TRAINS!

Post Mon Jan 05, 2009 6:41 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows how long it would take to go from Giessen to Dusseldorf? Is it very expensive? What is the train called?

THANKS!

For sure - It's pretty quick, I think it's on the same line, or you might have to change in Kassel. Should only take a couple hours. I think an ICE fast train runs there.

Maybe 50 Euro? Check out bahn.de I think you can figure out what it costs there, and get a schedule.

50 Euro? Thats pretty expensive. I guess it would not be a good idea to live in Gießen, and try to work in Dusseldorf?

A train everyday, 2 times a day would add up fast. I guess there is nothing cheaper to get there?

Thanks!

You could get a BahnCard 100 which allows to take any train (except for the ICE Sprinter) as many times as you want at any time you want. It costs about €3,500. But yea, in the long run its cheaper than paying €50 every time.

Here is a link for more information.http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en/bahncard/subhome/en_bahncard_info.shtml
