Transferring Ontario G2 DL to California one (Under 18)??

I am moving to the United States to live with my parents for the next few months and was wondering if it is possible to transfer my Ontario G2 drivers license to a Californian one. The information I have found online from various sites seems to imply that I would have to retake Drivers Education Classes and apply for a provisional license (I am under 18.) Is there any way I can skip the classes and get a license enabling me to drive without a person over 25 with a valid CA license while under 18?
