Hello, Im 18 year old male, and just finishing up school.
I plan on going to Europe for 4 months before college.
Im going to start saving all summer and a few months after.
I budgeted... $50 bucks a day, most of my equipment, rail pass, flight.
And booze cash....I figure around $9500 is a safe amount.(???)
I love to party & drink and want to do and see all the fun stuff I can. I plan on doing a circle around europe(Brittish isles, france, spain, germany, holland). I would like to start in Ireland...But Whatever is cheapest.
Im pretty flexable about where and how long I go. But I wanna see the countries listed above for sure!

I plan on travelling with a friend but I think he might not come....But ill go by myself if I have too.

Ive read alot of this site as well as others.
If you have any other advice for me I would love to hear it.
Also, To save cash cant you just bring a tent and crash in that instead of hostiling??

Alright, hey, Im nathan Im from Vancouver island bc. Im 19.
I was going to go to Europe with a friend as well, but he didnt end up coming , so I just left by myself. Do that, Dont prevent yourself from going. in all truth you will probably have a better experience alone anyway.
I had wanted about $10000, but I ended up leaving with 4000 and 1000 of that bought my plane ticket.
I flew into london with a year ticket, I was planning on staying in Europe for a year, and I had $3000. I spent the first month just travelling the UK. city hopping. I came to Manchester and found a job by chance in the hostel where I was staying. I ve been here for two months, and In another month I keep moving.
heres some advice.
go to these websites they will save you tons of money. and increase your experience
www.globalfreeloaders.com
that one is paramount. It kicks ass. I stayed with 5 ifferent people over the uk for free. if you like that here are some more that are similar but not as good.
www.hospitalityclub.org
www.stay4free.com
www.place2stay.net

and hey, email me, if you have any other questions. I dont know much about anywhere besides the UK yet, but yeah.
Cheers
Nathan
