We have to be in Athens for the paralimpics on the 17 of Sept. so we will be in london at the end of agust and have till then to go look around we were hopeing to go see scotland and then head south and see what we could on our way to Athens. After the games we are going to head back to london and take a month or so t backpack Austrea, switzerland Germany,France,Italy And we want to see most of the war memorials and sites and if we have time a little more of Scotland. We were also looking for the cheapest way to do all that traveling we want to stay on the ground to see all of it (bus or train) and places to stay.

Thanks

Well I would definitely get a train pass. Check out the Cheap Trains link on the left and you'll find a pass that's good for you. It's really convenient and with two people you can usually get a group rate.

Stay in hostels (also check out the links on the left) and pic yourself up a good LonelyPlanet Europe on a Shoestring book too, I found it indespensible.

Self-cater instead of eating out, and that's about all you can do to cut costs Smile Maybe try and get a student card if you're eligible and you'll get discounts at many museums too.

Have fun!
