Travel in Northern Italy

Postby sgnelson » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:44 am

Does anyone reading this have experience in travelling around the northern parts of Italy? I'm planning a trip there with my girlfriend around January next year. Currently looking at Turin. We will have around 5 days or so before going to Paris. What are some good spots to go to at that time of year (using public transport as well).

Thanks

Hey there,

I've only traveled a bit through northern italy. Turin was nice especcially near the mountains. I had met some guys that let me crash at their place, lots of fun.

Milan is of course nice and so is Venice - But I guess it depends where exactly along northern italy you'll be going.

5 days isn't very much time - I'd limit it to one or two places before you head to Paris.

I've travelled through Milan and Venice as well, but not Turin.

I think I spent 8 days in Italy, but could spend another month before i'd be satisfied. Definitly one of my favorite countries. :D
