Travel to Vimy

While in France my wife and I would like to take our kids to the Vimy Memorial. Truth be told I really want to go as well. I'm looking for suggestions on travel from Paris: best form of transport (bus, train), cost, and distance. Also, are there places in the area to stay for a family of four?

If anyone has done this trip and can give me a little help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

We were in Vimy 2 weeks ago for 4 days to take in the area. Arras is only a 1 1/2 hour drive north from Paris (Vimy is only 10 minutes away) and is a good drive. There are several reasonably priced hotels/motels in the area, we stayed at the Hotel du Golf D'Arras only minutes form the downtown area.
