Travelling to Europe...besides a Passport what do I need?

Postby Justin333 » Mon Apr 28, 2008 3:26 pm

I am planning to hit countries like Germany, England, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Switzerland. Hopefully all of them if I have enough money :) But besides a passport to enter the countries do I need anything else as Identification? Visa(s)?

If so how do I go about getting these?

Thanks for the help, Justin.

You're okay in all of those countries.

If you are unsure about the visa/ entry requirements for any country, the Gov of Canada has a helpful site. www.voyage.gc.ca/dest/ctry/visa-en.asp

If you are in Canada, you can also call 1800-OCANADA and they can give you info on just about anything that relates to our federal gov, including travel requirements.

Have a great trip.

For most of those countries you can visit for up to 90 days, but remember they are also all part of the Schengen region. As Canadians we can only stay in the Schengen region for 90 days out of 180 legally. This means, while you have a limit of 90 days, say in Germany, and if you use the full 90 days, technically you shouldn´t be going to France for another 90 days.
So keep that in mind as you plan your travels as well.

I have been in an out of Europe for 4 years now, and I have never heard anyone having a problem with the Schengen region, but that rule does exist so beware!

Have an awesome trip!
