Hello!
I looked around but couldn't find a topic with a similar question or answer, so hopefully this isn't a double post. I'm looking to apply for a UK Ancestry visa in August (very close now). I believe I have all of the required documents I had some questions about sponsorship that I was hoping someone could answer for me.
I have the allotted amount of money saved that I need to apply for the visa, as well as knowing I will have more saved by the time I intend to leave for the UK, I wanted to have extra help just in case. My father would like to help me out by sponsoring me while I'm in the UK but he is a Canadian citizen. On the application itself there is only a space for a UK citizen to sponsor.
Is it possible for him to do this? If so, is there a separate form I need to find for him to fill out? Or do I just need a letter from him explaining his willingness to help me out financially should a situation arise where it is needed?
Also, would it be beneficial to have a police check done and send that in with my visa application? My fiance is told me it's needed but I haven't read anywhere that it's completely necessary. Will it help my application if I get one done? I'm also still a little confused as to the procedures with biometrics, would that be completed the same day I make an appointment to apply (after finishing the application online) in Toronto? I'm a few hours away and I don't own a vehicle I just would like to know how often I should be expecting to get a ride down.
I believe that's everything that I'm not 100% about. Thank you in advance for any help!
