the answer depends on ur circumstances.
have u been resident in the
uk for 6 months or more? if so, then an annual travel insurance policy from a uk company might suit. some will cover u for long stays outside the uk, while others limit any single non-uk trip to 30 days maximum.
if u qualify as being uk-resident and are travelling within the eu, eea or switzerland, u can apply for limited medical cover via ehic (this is a free entitlement card to be carried with u on ur travels). the cover within an eu country is supposed to be equivalent to what citizens of that eu country receive, but can be more restricted in the eea or switzerland.
https://www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/home.douk travel insurance policies will not reimburse any expenses that would have been covered by ehic, even if u chose not to apply for ehic. many uk policies do not cover uk medical expenses, nor non-medical expenses (such as
flight cancellation or lost luggage) for uk trips where a
hotel has not been booked.
